Conservative leader Castillo resigns, replaced by Fernandez

51e8b404Geneva, Alexandria; ABCC News – Conservative Party Leader Alejandro Castillo resigned his post yesterday, after being placed under pressure by fellow Conservatives to step down. Quoting his many other commitments such as school and family as the reason why he resigned, Castillo stated “Due to the fact that I am still several weeks from finals and I have a busy couple of months still ahead after that, I have decided to step down as Party Chairman, to allow other more capapble and more active members.”

In his brief resignation letter, he proceeded to appoint Eva Fernandez, currently the Party Legislative Director and Member of Parliament from Baudrix, as his successor. No comments from the rest of the party have surfaced yet.
