News Briefs: 27 July 2002

– Kaiser Mors II of Shireroth is on a one week leave for various reasons, from what we understand, Joe Whit has been appointed the supreme ruler of Shireroth until Mors’ return. Also, this is the first MFP edition where I have spelt Shireroth correctly.

– After the passage of two major laws in the Tebec Commons, the government has called new elections for the Commons to reflect the changes made by the Commons Act (2002) and the Elections Act (2002).

– A proposed budget for Tymaria, under the newly revitalized economic system for the URT, has been tabled by Finance Minister Tony Au in the House of Peoples for debate. This is the first piece of legislation to be tabled since nationalization took place in Tymaria just weeks ago.

– Starting with this edition, the MFP will begin sending notifications via the Intermicronational Federation of News Agencies’ Yahoo Group. I entered all the email of our subscribers a couple weeks ago, and will update the list against today and start using the system. If you get an email, it’s to notify you that you’re a part of the group, should you wish to leave the subscribers list, then click on the link in that confirmation email to delete your name.
